EGM Maduro Maximos

EGM Maduro Maximos introduces an American-grown Broadleaf wrapper to the EGM blend for the first time, moving beyond the tradition of Puros Dominicanos. Dark in appearance and naturally oily, this exceptional Maduro wrapper brings a distinctive sweetness, depth and richness — amplified here by the generous 56 ring gauge, the boldest vitola in the Línea Maduro.

Filler and binder leaves are grown in the fertile Cibao Valley, the Dominican Republic's most prestigious tobacco region. Each cigar is crafted entirely by hand — totalmente a mano — in Santo Domingo.

EGM Maduro Maximos is the fullest, densest, and most voluminous expression of the EGM Maduro line, thanks to its 56‑ring gauge and the same Pennsylvania Broadleaf maduro wrapper that defines the series. About the flavour profile: Creamy oak & leather tack — as the dominant flavours in the first third. Dark chocolate & cocoa nibs — Broadleaf signature, appearing in cold draw and throughout the smoke. Coffee beans — early white‑pepper/coffee combination transitions into deeper roasted coffee tones. Earthiness — gritty earth appears as a secondary note, consistent with Dominican filler. Here we can detect secondary & Evolving Notes: toasted bread — present in the first third and mid‑smoke. Nutmeg, herbs, starchy rice — detected in cold draw and early development. Generic nuttiness — appears intermittently, adding roundness. Light spice — emerges halfway through the first third on two of the reviewed cigars. Floral sweetness — subtle, present in cold draw.  Cinnamon & earth from the wrapper. Creamy oak, sweet apple juice, mulch, lemongrass, cocoa nibs, cloves from the foot. Medium strength, with the extra presence typical of maduro cigars. The Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro wrapper adds sweetness, depth, cocoa, and coffee notes, along with a thicker, oilier texture. Dominican binder & filler (Cibao Valley) provide the clean Dominican backbone — earth, balance, and smoothness.  A shorter, thicker format produces more smoke, more sweetness, and broader flavour integration compared to Rios and Floridos.  Maximos should deliver the most sweetness from the blend.
